Patsy Whyte
Scots-born Patsy Whyte not only co-writes and sings her own songs, she is also an author, with one book, her gritty memoir No Easy Road, to her name.
Patsy was born in 1955 in a one-time army barracks condemned unfit for human habitation. One of a family of 10 traveller children torn apart by the state, she grew up in a children's home in Aberdeen which she left aged 15.
Angry, naive and ill-prepared, but with a will to survive, which would be tested to the limit
